Vampire HuntersTime has come for our September > October themed contest, which is asking you to create your own Vampire Hunter!

The first gal is a roller disco vampire hunter; the second, victorian with a stake staff.
You can enter a doll on any base, in whatever colors you'd like, dressed in any sort of clothes, from any setting. The only rules are that she must look like a vampire hunter, showing some signs of this as her profession, and that she must be wielding some sort of vampire-fighting weapon.
We encourage you to create your own setting or place your vampire hunter into a strange time and place; does he or she fight space zombies? Is she a 60s flight attendant who deals with them on airplanes? Is he a wanderer in the coldest of mountains, dealing with fur-covered vampires there? Give us a bit of a blurb in the artist comments telling us about your setting and justifying

New Contest - Solar SystemNew Contest: Solar System
I know I already mentioned the contest, but I wanted a more official journal entry. I have a suspicion that some of you may not be aware of it yet. XD
To enter my contest, you need to make a doll inspired by your favorite planet. You need to include the moons in the doll too. Not ALL of the moons of course,
some of the planets have far too many. Only include the most important moons.

Like say the doll itself is the planet and the moons are circling around her/him. You can include props like asteroids, shooting stars...satellites, anything that relates to astronomy and space exploration. Your doll could be either high fashion, or science-fiction-y, or super geeky. However you decide to go about designing your doll is all up to you. You can use any base you want, so long as it isn't traced, baseless dolls are highly encouraged.
Keep the rating of your doll PG, family friendly.
Mature dolls and or bloody/gory dolls will be disqualified.

Specifics of the Contest:
I warned this would be difficult and it will be. Free theme, meaning you can choose whatever to doll if you want to doll an alien or Amazonian warrior chick go for it. However there is a CATCH.
You can only use 10 colors. Base and all excluding transparency. So yes there will be reshading. You are free to build your palette anyway you choose. By colors I don't mean you choose the color pink and you get to use all the shades in between. Literally 10 colors for the entire doll. You will recycle colors and I encourage that! So theoretically this is a constricted palette challenge but you get to build your own palette.

As both Pyro and I live in parts of the world that are starting to get cold, we've decided to make our theme somewhat seasonal -- Hats & Scarves!

Sample Doll :

You can enter a doll on any base, in whatever colors you'd like, dressed in any sort of clothes, from any setting. The only rules are that she must have on some kind of hat and some kind of scarf. We encourage you to do what you like with this theme, whether it be traditional, like Pyro's sample doll, or something a little bit more unexpected. Just be sure the scarf and hat are clearly visible.
